Our Senior Team Members

Dr Michael Monsour, OAM

Director

Dr Michael Monsour OAM is an Honours Graduate of the University of Queensland and is a Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Dr Monsour has practiced rural and remote medicine for over 40 years where he has seen complications due to the inadequate rehabilitation of pelvic floor muscles post-partum. This has led to his interest in the development of the PeriCoach in order to address this massive problem which up until now has been poorly treated.

Chelsea Cornelius

Chief Executive Officer

Chelsea is a Mechanical Engineer(Hons) with a Masters in Biomedical Engineering and Executive MBA, with 15 years experience in the design, development and commercialisation of medical devices. She has expertise in product development, design verification/validation, risk management, process validation and quality assurance within a global regulatory framework. She is the developer of the PeriCoach, and is passionate about improving women’s quality of life, in an area that has historically been underserved.

Chelsea strives to maintain work-life balance by enjoying travelling, waterskiing, speedway and fiction writing.

Karien Maskelyne

Quality and Regulatory Assurance Manager

Karien joined Stratos MedTech keen to become part of a team with shared passion in women’s health. She has a combined Bachelor and Master Degree in Electrical & Biomedical Engineering, and pivoted from design to focus on what is often consider the unexciting part of medtech – regulations and standards. She has spent several years working within the key IEC, ISO, FDA, TGA and CE medical device standards, as well as quality assurance and control in manufacturing.

Outside of the office Karien is a South African turned Australian, dog-mom, bookworm, nature lover, shutterbug. She competes (albeit against herself) in triathlons and half marathons with the goal to someday be able to say SHE IS AN IRON(WO)MAN
